The Mary Granberry Waterman Event Hall offers a distinctive venue where thoughtful design meets historic surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of our Colonial Revival gardens, filling the space with natural light throughout the day. Opened in 2021 as part of the Holcombe Education Center, the Hall balances contemporary comfort with the character befitting our setting in Connecticut’s oldest historic district.

About the Space
The Hall’s clean architectural lines and abundance of natural light create an inherently gracious atmosphere—beautiful in its simplicity, yet adaptable to your vision. Direct access to our outdoor terrace and gardens extends your gathering into the landscape, while professional audio-visual systems ensure modern functionality.
The space accommodates 40 guests for seated gatherings or 75 reception-style. For larger events, our adjacent extension space increases capacity to 75 seated or 100 guests. A fully-equipped kitchenette is available for caterer use.

We welcome your choice of vendors and allow outside beverages, offering flexibility while maintaining the quality of experience our visitors expect. Event guests may arrange private tours of our three historic houses or enjoy access to current exhibitions, adding cultural dimension to your gathering.
