View the recently conserved Wetmore Parlor and our newly opened spotlight exhibition, Made in Hartford: A Capital City Creates. The tour will end with a visit to New Nation, Many Hands to view a meticulous hand-made replica of a gown worn by “first” First Lady Martha Washington.
WDS members are welcome to tour the museum on their own at the conclusion of the event. Registration is required and limited for this program.
Lafayette Birthday Party
Join us for a celebratory bicentennial of the Marquis de Lafayette’s 67th birthday banquet given by The Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Connecticut in 1824. Tours of the Joseph Webb House and Silas Deane House – both National Historic Landmarks and key sites in the American Revolution – will immerse party guests in political history and intrigue, followed by festive food, period music by Rick Spenser and Dawn Indermuehle, and merriment. Lafayette himself will even make an appearance!
